Kiltullagh Killimordaly Heritage Society remembers Kiltulla Hurling Club
Day 1 of Kiltullagh Killimordaly Heritage Society’ ‘s “Pastimes from the Past: Keeping Our Heritage Alive”, talks and exhibition celebrating the clubs, pastimes and community events of the Kiltullagh-Killimordaly area, has come to a close.
The exhibition features a photo of the 1936 Kiltullagh Hurling Club team, who were Domhnach Casca North Galway Champions, along with Tommy Duffy’s medal.
Thanks to Rita (Duffy) Brett, the photo and medal are on display as part of the exhibition, helping to preserve and share the sporting history of the local community.
The exhibition continues tomorrow, Sunday, 23 August, from 11.30am to 5pm at Kiltullagh Community Hall. Admission is free and all are welcome.
The exhibition is organised by Kiltullagh Killimordaly Heritage Society, with funding through the Galway County Council Community Support Scheme 2026 and support from Kiltullagh Killimordaly Community Care
