The Galway Plaza at Carrowkeel, Junction 16, Loughrea, M6, Galway, are seeking Full-time Deli Assistants to join their team. The service station facilities include a Retail convenience store, car and HGV fuelling pumps, Supermac’s Restaurant, Papa John’s Pizza, SuperSubs, Mac’s Place Deli & Bakery, indoor and outdoor seating, toilets and washroom facilities, free Wi-Fi, car, bus and HGV parking. We are currently looking to recruit Full-time Deli Assistants for Mac’s Place Deli & Bakery situated in The Galway Plaza. You must be available to work full time and be fully flexible with hours.

You will be responsible for assisting the Deli Manager in preparing and making good food in the deli. General knowledge of deli operations is preferred but not essential. Possessing similar experience would be an advantage along with experience in a fast-paced busy working environment. Experience of HACCP and Food Hygiene is desirable.

Night Hatch Supervisor

The Galway Plaza is a purpose-built motorway service station off Junction 16 of the M6 Galway to Dublin Motorway, conveniently located outside Loughrea 30 minutes from Galway city and attracts a lot of motorists and local customers. The Galway Plaza opened in 2016.

The service station facilities include a Retail convenience store, car and HGV fuelling pumps, Supermac’s Restaurant, Papa John’s Pizza, SuperSubs, Mac’s Place Deli & Bakery, indoor and outdoor seating, toilets and washroom facilities, free Wi-Fi, car, bus and HGV parking. The Galway Plaza strives to provide first class facilities to our customers whilst making their stop as convenient as possible. The Spar convenience store at the Galway Plaza is open 24 hours a day; Bewley’s coffee is available from this outlet and also from the Bewley’s Barista.

We currently have the following Vacancy in the Galway Plaza:

Night Hatch Supervisor – 11pm to 7am. This is a full-time position, requiring flexibility to work 4-5 nights over a 7-day roster.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

This role will involve serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner providing an exceptional standard of customer care. Candidates must be highly motivated and be able to work on own initiative. Ensure the hatch is manned at all times, ensuring friendly courteous service, whilst conducting various stocking up duties during quiet periods, together with cleaning of tea/coffee machines and support duties during quieter times. The Shop will be closed to be public, however limited services will be offered by you via the night hatch. Candidates must also possess excellent communication skills. Previous similar experience is desirable for this position.
