Galway Foróige County Bake Event took place in the Raheen Woods Hotel in Athenry on Sunday 10th April at 11am. Well done to all the young people who took part in this year’s county event. Congratulations and the best of luck to Jessica Whyte from Killimordaly/Kiltulla Foróige club who will represent County Galway Foróige at the regional final this coming July 2016.

The theme for this year is “The Muffin of the Moment”. Muirin Gaffney from Leitrim Foróige club was awarded second place and Sarah Duggan Webb from Big Brother, Big Sister, Galway was awarded third place. Great creativity and attention to detail was displayed by all the young people in their baked muffins on the day.

Thanks to our judges, Dan Davison, The Bread Shed in New Inn and Lester McNamara in the Raheen Woods Hotel in Athenry for sharing very important words of encouragement to all the young people present on the day.
