Kiltullagh Community Choir has been invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the Galway Continental Christmas Markets, Friday 23rd November.
Turning on of the Galway City’s Christmas lights will commence at 5.30pm at the bottom of Mainguard Street; a festive parade toward the Market on Eyre Square will follow afterwards. The parade will be made up of fire breathing stilt walkers, the St. Nicholas School Choir as well as Mickey Mouse, Dora the Explorer, Bob the Builder and VIP guests Santa & Mrs. Claus, accompanied by their Elves. Galway Continental Market will officially launch at 6pm in Eyre Square.
The Galway Continental Christmas Market received over 400,000 visitors last year but 2012 promises to be bigger and better, with the addition of live performances and entertainment. Performers, school choirs, storytelling, puppet shows, carol singing together with charity and community events will entertain and delight the crowds throughout the three weeks leading up to Christmas.
Kiltullagh Community Choir is delighted to be joining the celebration.
The Market runs from Friday, November 23rd until 22nd December 2012.
