A Celtic Spring Celebration will take place at Esker Monastery on Saturday, January 31st, 5-6pm.
An open-air celebration of creation, one of our series of celebrations of the seasons of the year and of the movements of God’s grace in our lives. Sing, all Creation! Come well prepared for the weather, even as we gather around the outside fire. Families especially welcome!
In this hallowed place of Esker, we remember that these and all the other ‘Eskers’ in a ridge across Ireland from Lucan to Galway, were great deposits of sand left when the deep covering of ice that covered our land began to melt. We are grateful for the seasons, for the returning warmth and light, and the variety of life and colour they bring.
