Heritage Society to hold talk on The Story of Clooncah House

Kiltullagh Killimordaly Heritage Society is kicking off 2026 with one of the area’s lesser known historical stories. Join local historian Kieran Jordan as he brings the past to life in “The Story of Clooncah House“.

Discover the Daly family who lived there during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, the arrival of William Galway, and the role of Lord Ashtown and the Estate Courts in the history of this once imposing house that dominated the local landscape around Killimordaly.

The talk takes place at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 21 January, in the Kiltullagh Community Hub, opposite Kiltullagh Church, Athenry, Co. Galway.

Free for members. €5 for non-members. Everyone is welcome.
