Part of National Heritage Week 2025
Join Kiltullagh Killimordaly Heritage Society as we celebrate D’Arcy 300, a weekend of events to commemorate 300 years since the birth of Patrick D’Arcy (1725–1779) a renowned mathematician, scientist, and military man.
Patrick’s early life at Kiltulla House was shaped by his family’s Catholic faith, their support for the Jacobite cause, and the harsh reality of the Penal Laws. At just fourteen years old, he left rural Ireland for France. In Paris, he went on to make lasting contributions to his fields of study.
D’ARCY 300 is organised by Kiltullagh Killimordaly Heritage Society. It is funded with thanks to Galway County Council Community Support Scheme 2025 and Kiltulla and District Vintage Club.
